Only gaining 25 pounds? Please, nurse. Is it really so difficult for medical professionals to accept the “every body is different” absolute fact of life? I remember feeling horribly guilty that I gained 5 pounds my first trimester because you “don’t need to gain any weight” — um, but you do need to eat bread and crackers constantly to not die of nausea! This time, I’m angling for a scale-free pregnancy. Why not? Let’s make our bodies and our babies the priority, not the “rules.”
