I felt the same way hearing this news. I grew up in Woodland in the 90s/00s, and I had no idea how close this story was to home until I heard about the arrest. Neither of my parents lived in the area until the late 80s, so I guess it was just blissful ignorance? Strange to see such familiar names in connection to such a gruesome reality.
